The PipeMonitor TDR detects and localizes anomalies such as humidity faults, wire breaks, and wire-pipe contacts in pipelines. By using time domain reflectometry (TDR), the location of faults can be pinpointed in real time. Up to 8 measuring pairs can be monitored with a single multiplexer module.

Equipped with time domain reflectometry (TDR), the PipeTDR-2C TDR is quick and easy to use for locating faults in small and medium-sized plastic jacket pipes (e.g., with Nordic sensor technology). It can detect water ingress into the thermal insulation layer of the pipe by continuously sending electrical pulses into the pipe and measuring the reflected waves. It comes with two channels that are connected to a waterproof tablet via Bluetooth or USB 3.0.

This handheld device can detect leaks, breaks in the measurements section, faults in the pipe connection, and length of the measuring loop (for NiCr only). All measurements are stored on a memory card with georeferenced timestamps.
